A 1998 research project published in "Alternative  Cognitiva Review  Medicine Review" linked low magnesium levels to Attention Deficit symptoms. Researchers subjected to testing hair, red cell, and serum magnesium levels in 116 ADD children and identified that 95% were deficient in magnesium. Fifty of these children were then put on a six-month regiment of 200 mg of magnesium on a daily basis. Investigators observed a marked decrease in hyperactivity. This particular review was not a double-blind review so the placebo effect was not taken into consideration. But bear in mind, the conclusions were sizeable enough to reinforce magnesium as go-to mineral for Attention Deficit Disorder.
